My first oil painting! The objective was to throw down as much color as we could see, and then tint the piece slowly to get it more naturalistic. Very fun, though I am in need of better photos/scans

maybe it was better? maybe they're both terrible? I'll be able to tell in the morning, but right now my retinas are on fire X_X

EDIT: combined the cools of the first with the warms of the second, I think this is the best hybrid. Things to fix: values on the Gauntlet (dear god), a few details here and there. eh.

Volunteer Portrait

Although I am not able to share the name of the organization I did this for (security reasons), I am proud to have participated. We drew portraits of children across the globe and sent it to them, in return we'll be receiving letters from them, can't wait!

Obama's Boring Speeches

I don't actually think they're boring. This ended up taking longer than it should because I stopped to actually read the damn thing. Anyway this is a spot for an article about Obama's speeches. I feel like all of my assignments lately have been teaching me what not to do when illustrating...so much trial and error -__-
